Could we possibly in the future have the option of an alternate mode for the Offset Curve tool, so that the resulting curve is the desired distance the entire way along the line?
Currently I believe it creates an exact copy that is just moved a specified amount, but it would be great if it could also be adjusted so as to maintain consistent distances from the original curve along it's entire length. I'm sure the way it works now is very useful in some situations, but if you want to do something like work out where a seam allowance is (the drafting instructions I'm following frustratingly include seam allowances and no obvious way to omit them) then, as you can see in the screenshot, the resulting offset curve (aqua dashed line) doesn't quite work.
Of course I recognise this is a free tool, and you can't just add everything that's suggested/requested, but I hope it's okay to make feature requests! I'm really grateful for the software as it is, thanks!
