have done all measurements. Tested with basic bodice measurements. won't let me draft anything. comes up saying reference error ^^^.

When you say it won't let you draft anything do you mean anything at all or just one of the items in the catalog? What is the Ref id of the measurement set you are using? (Left column of your My Measurements table).

I ran the garment associated with the error, dress 118, and it is working okay on my end. I need to check out your measurements to see if there is a problem somewhere.

Hi Lori,

I have the same problem ‘There was a rendering error. Ref #653929a4dc5f5‘. 62 - Princess Bodice Sloper X. I’ve entert my own mesurements. Saved it. And then I selected output PDF A4. Then waited as instructed. And then the the error appeared. I’ve tried it a few times and also with another output. But the error appears everytime.

I’ve then tried the pants sloper unisex and also de dress sloper. This works good, no error and I can download te file.

I don’t know if I did the measurements good. I followed al the instructions, and my husband measured everything. :) The part where it got maybe a bit unsertain was the meassurements ‘ side to side’ Because for us it wasn’t always clea where to exactley start and finish. So maybe the program gives us the error because we have contradicting measurements..?

I hope I’ve explained it correctley.

And thank you so much for this oppurtunity to work with you program. I love to sew, and make my paterns of existing clothes. Which works quite oké. But I have to own sort of clothes to be abel to copy the pattern. Otherwise I can’t make it. So I’m really happy get working with you program. Fearles makers I love it!!

Have you tested your measurements? The easiest way to see if there is a problem is to run through the test feature on the measurement set. Here's the instructions in the manual:

The princess bodice sloper X uses detailed measurements, so you'll want to choose the "test detailed measurements with bodice front" and also the back test. If you have a measurement problem, this will show you where it is.

It is very uncommon for a draft to fail, if the measurements are correct.

I’ll try what you advies thanks for the quick response.
I’ ve also tried 11 - Bodice Sloper Full Fit X. This works good. Or does this sloper doesn’t need the detailed measurements?

#11 also uses the detailed measurements. When you choose a pattern from the catalog at the bottom of the description it lists all the measurements used.

Okay I’ve tested al the bodice, pants. The pants and the bodice with fewer measurements look oké. The front bodice with the most measurements didn’t error, but look funny.. And the back dit error. So I have to get my husband and measuring tape back on board :).

I think what went wrong is the ‘side to Side’ measurements. If we did the side to side back cm + side to side front cm it was lager than the circular measurement.. I think that’s were it went wrong..

You could try drawing a line from the armpit to the waist on each side with a washable marker. You can also use a piece of masking tape. Just make sure that you measure to the same edge of the tape for front and back. Otherwise you're measurement will be off by the width of the tape!

Hey Lori,

Thank you will do that too. I found why te tester gave me te error. I made a mistake switch the ditched on the shoulder slope back that was bij 10 cm to short, the average persons is about 44 cm and I have a really long back. I also saw your youtube film on te Fasioner how on how you can make a sloper yourself, that helped me understand how the tester was drawing. And then i notised that in the tester my bodice is on the left and the bodice of the average person is on de right. Aaaah!

So thank you for you response Ill measure my upper body again and then Ill test :)

I'm glad you found that video. It does help to explain how every measurement is used when drafting. I'm sure you'll get it all figured out.
